Scuba Dive
This has been something I've wanted to do for a long time and I'm really glad I did it to say I've been, but I probably won't be going again ha. There's a lot that you have to learn and remember in the moment and my experience wasn't that great. The training at the pool was easy and made sense and that was cool. Then once we got into the ocean is where everything kind of went wrong for me. So when I jumped in right away I swallowed a ton of salt water and when I popped up my teacher was like that's not normal.. I was like ok well my respirator isn't blocking out the water and im just inhaling salt water... so then I had to put on the spare and it worked. Then as everyone is descending I'm still floating at the top and not making it down. so I hear her adding weight and releasing air from my buoyancy vest. So I think the difference of pool water to salt water was the issue. Then once I got down there I kept having water in my mask, she later told me my mask was not on my face all the way so that's why that was happening. So it was just lots of things going wrong where you can't express them and aren't supposed to panic. So after we came up they were going to let us go dive somewhere else and I was like oh I'm good LOL. I did it once and didn't need to do it again. We also had a larger group and I think I would've liked 1 on 1 with the teacher at least for the first time to make sure everything went smoothly.
